How does mediation help prevent or solve conflicts?

Mediation is a simpler and cheaper process than going to court. In addition, it simultaneously helps the parties to the conflict to manage and be in charge of preventing and resolving your conflicts.

It is a voluntary process. Prior to its start, both parties agree to respect and keep confidential what is stated in the sessions.

In addition, it is a flexible process, where the mediator’s role is to facilitate the conditions to reach an agreement of wills, free expression and the parties’ collaboration to generate options to help them move from a current situation to a desired situation.

The mediator's job is to be impartial and neutral. Mediators don't judge, criticize or advise. Mediation facilitation is guided by ethical principles and asks questions to generate a space to be creative to find viable, convenient, and legal options for all parties. Likewise, the mediator draws up agreements that can be enforced and become a court ruling category to be executed by a judge in a noncompliance event.
